Come to Africa With Me
If you are fascinated and dream about seeing Africa wildlife up close and want to see the big five animals and hundreds of other mammals, COME WITH ME – September 25th to October 5th, 2026. If you only have one opportunity to see African widelife, this is undoubtedly one of the best safaris for you. Travel with us on our 8th journey to this fascinating part of the world in a small group.
Join us for The Great Migration Safari, where thousands of wildebeest, zebras, and other species migrate in gigantic herds to make their way in the annual migration to the Mara River crossing the crocodile infested waters.
Our safari follows a path from Tarangire National Park, home to large herds of elephants.
From there we venture into the famous Ngorongoro Crater, a vast caldera that was formed millions of years ago and home to an amazing variety of species including this serval, which I just happened to catch in mid-leap.
Between the game drives, we luxuriate at lodges and camps that leave nothing out for comfort, like my favorite lodge, The Ngorongoro Marera Valley View Lodge.
This safari is a very private safari with currently only 4 people and room for 4 more. Our safari vehicles offer maximum viewing room for both photographers and non-photographers. We seat 4 guests per vehicle.
Our safari pricing of $8850 includes all lodging, meals, transportation and airport pickup/departure, entry fees, internal flights, and guides. Our head guide has 45 years of experience and is the most knowledgeable and personable friend you can ask for in Tanzania. You are only responsible for international airfare, visas, personal alcohol, and tips.
A concern often expressed is the length of the flight. One way to ease the concern about the length of the flight is to break the flight into two parts. I usually fly to Tanzania by flying Delta/KLM from San Francisco or Sacramento with a stop in Seattle/LA/or Atlanta then about 8 hours to Amsterdam. Some past travelers have then stayed in Amsterdam to enjoy that scenic and inviting city before flying directly from Amsterdam to Tanzania for the remaining half. Airfares have ranged from less than $1400 round trip from San Francisco to around $2000 round trip from Sacramento. If you would like to consider joining us, I would be happy to help you with your flight planning.
An added benefit is that I will give instruction for cell phone users and those with dedicated cameras on how they can improve their photography before and during the trip. I am an award-winning life-long photographer and photography instructor.
